Valid from List & Label 4
The designer is an integral part of List & Label. Being that List & Label works database independent, the designer cannot "know" which fields and variables you want to provide for your users. This however is a prerequisite in order to build up formulas, provide syntax checking etc. For this reason your application has to pass the available fields and variables to List & Label prior to calling up the designer. We'd suggest to have a look into the corresponding chapter in the manual or our samples for a quick start. The actual call to bring up the designer is one single function ("LlDefineLayout() or Design()").
