How to Optimize Report Performance in List & Label ??

Hi everyone,

I have been using List & Label for generating reports and it works great for most cases. However, I have noticed that as my datasets grow larger the performance of report generation slows down significantly. I am wondering if anyone can share best practices or tips to optimize report performance: ??

Here’s what I have tried so far :-

Limiting data in queries: Only fetching necessary fields.
Using filters efficiently: Filtering data at the database level instead of within the report.
Caching: Enabling caching for reusable data sources.
Despite these, there’s still room for improvement, especially when dealing with highly complex reports or layouts.

I have some questions:

Are there advanced settings in List & Label that can boost performance: ??
Would splitting larger reports into smaller sub-reports help: ??
Any suggestions for improving preview times for end users: ??

I would love to hear your experiences or recommendations !!

Thanks in advance.

With Regards,
Daniel Jose

Hello Daniel and welcome to our forum!

The performance of report generation depends very much on how the reports are designed. For example, the contained image objects, the data source, and much more play a role here.
