Actually, it is searchable - there’s a green button on the top right of the KB start page. The direct links to searching are

But from a usability perspective, it would be better if a search field is shown right below the caption of the first knowledge base page.
Fully understandable. I’ve queued the request to put the search box right on top for our web team. And I know the “commercial” effect of colored buttons very well - however ours are different ;).
