Context
The classic Desktop Designer supports table-in-table (sub table) functionality since forever. The newer Web Desktop Designer also allows table-in-table, though with certain limitations.
However, the Web Report Designer (HTML) currently does not support table-in-table at all. After reaching out to support, I was informed that this feature is also not planned for version 31.
Suggestion
I strongly recommend adding full support for table-in-table in the Web Report Designer and prioritizing it on the roadmap.
This feature should allow inserting nested tables into headers, footers, and content sections, just as it is possible in the classic designer.
Use Case
Our use case involves working with multiple related data tables to display product data, including attributes, prices, and other key details. Sub-tables are crucial for properly visualizing 1:n relationships between products and their associated data.
Without table-in-table functionality, the ability to structure complex, data-driven reports in the Web Report Designer is severely limited.
Would love to see this feature implemented soon!
