Saving ptLabelProject creates empty lbl file

When we attempt to edit a lbl file using L&L then save it, it saves ok if you save on the same computer where you edit it.
If you save onto a network drive, it results in a zero length lbl file being saved i.e. your label format is destroyed!.

Also, (sometimes) after printing a label the lbl file is also destroyed. We cannot reliably reproduce this one.

We have had this happen in a number of different network configurations, but it always involves Windows 7, where the lbl file resides on a network drive. We have never had a problem when using WinXP.

We are using L&L version 14. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Williamson,

thank you for your post.

There were some changes regarding the handling of network shares that were introduced by Microsoft in Windows 7. Meanwhile we’ve got a workaround in the current version 18 of List & Label. Please note that unfortunately List & Label 14 does not support Windows 7.
