Problem with preview

Serious problem with preview.

A client tells me that since I have upgraded him the application to
L&L13, the application is blocked continually.

I take several weeks analyzing my application (Visual DataFlex 12.1) and
the only thing that I have been able to appreciate is that the problem
are generated when the user requests a report preview.

To discard that the problem is of my application, I have used the
example application “Contact Sample Program” (LLSample)

The problem takes place whenever I request a report preview.

Detail:

    • execute the application
    • go to Report/List & Contacts with new List&Label Report Class
    • leave all values by default and press the button “print”
    • select the report “Contact Report with new Report Class.lst”
    • leave default preview, select “Start”, when finish the report close
      view
    • now in the field “From” (Select Last Name)press the button prompt
      and select a record
    • if the application is not blocked return to the point 4 and continue
    • the application doesn’t respond. It is necessary to press Alt+F4 to
      be able to close it.

If we don’t use preview in any moment, the application is not blocked.

I have carried out tests in two more customers, and the same thing
happens.

I need urgent help!!

I’d contact combit on this issue and see how they can help. I’m not working
with Visual DataFlex and cannot reproduce the problem. A first attempt might
be to break into the debugger (I’m using WinDbg for this purpose) and see
where the different threads are blocked.

But I don’t know how to use WinDbg.
This is what I have been able to make.
