Print in RTF

I wish to print report in dotmatrix printer and wish to use the RTF (Rich Text Format). Accordingly I went to the objects(my object was a table)and choose the “Text Format”. By default it was ‘Normal’, True. I changed it to ‘RTF’, False.
The problem is that the variables don’t fetch values after the change.Earlier when the default value was Normal the variable “SellingPrice” fetched a value ‘1120.00’. Now the name of the variable ‘SellingPrice’ is displayed. I looked up the help documentation but could not find any solution. I would appreciate any help/suggestion/manual in this regard.

Check the RTF contents - they must be <> to be replaced.

I tried it out but it did not work. Could you please suggest a way I could print the documents/reports in DOS mode.
