Hello, I have a problem regarding the export in pdf, in Arabic language.
In the database, Arabic texts are stored from right to left:
In the PreviewControl, the display of texts is correct, from right to left:
But when exporting to Pdf, the text changes direction and displays from left to right:
However, if you export to Word, it is correct:
Do you know if there is an option for pdf export that could solve this problem?
Thank you and best regards
Dominique
Hello, this could be a problem in embedding the fonts and its glyphs into the final PDF document. You can have a small influence by using/setting the option PDF.ExcludedFonts. Just try to use an empty string, so also the complete glyphs of “Arial” are also embedded. Maybe this could help.
Hello Oliver,
I tried the PDF.ExcludedFonts option, but it didn’t have any influence.
And I just noticed that some sentences in Arabic are in the right direction and not others.
Thanks anyway for your help.
Dominique
Hi Dominique,
I had hoped that the complete embedding of all fonts in the PDF document would bring about an improvement - what a pity.
And I just noticed that some sentences in Arabic are in the right direction and not others.
Is this observation perhaps due to a particular font that it sometimes works and sometimes not? Perhaps a further improvement can be achieved by selecting the font that works?
Thanks Oliver,
I will also check if by chance there would be in the texts in the database characters that would not be considered as “Arabic”.
I wish you a very nice day.
Dominique
