Welcome to the combit Reporting Forum, Peter!
We’re not entirely sure what exactly you are trying to achieve. By “Pages,” do you mean the individual pages inside the preview? And when you mention “Folders,” could you explain a bit more what you mean by that? Are you thinking of a hierarchical structure in the preview, or something else?
If it’s just about handling pages, you can use the Preview API. You can find the documentation here:
https://docu.combit.net/progref/en/#!Documents/thepreviewapi.htm
If you can clarify what you mean by “Folders,” we’ll be able to give you more targeted help.
Best regards from Constance.
Take a look at the following link
On the top of the page you see a screen dump of Crystal Converted to L&L. In the list and label report. In the list and label report on the left bottom you see 2 tabs “Pages” and “Folder” so took those terms to ask my question.
Pages does states what it does. Folders maybe a bit less. ![]()
But I prefer to show “folder” and not pages. So I would like to have control over it
Peter
These tabs are automatically generated when you add a table of contents or an index to your project. For more information on how to do this, visit https://docu.combit.net/designer/en/index.html#!Documents/tableofcontentsandindex1.htm.
Thanks, sorry for late reply., clearly index and table of contents can be done.
Most likely I will be able to control index and contents from my application with a formula. Have to test that.
But is there a way I can control not show the pages. I understand it is seen as part of list and label. But to me it has no additional value to the functionality I want to deliver to my end users.
I always have used crystal reports. But working now to move over to L&L so building the rights frame work and functionality I had and want to give to the end-users.
Peter
Currently, the preview pages tab cannot be hidden. There is an option to hide the navigation pane alltogether, however this would also hide the table of contents then.
Thanks,
Ok, will sort out how to do hide the navigation pane. Is there an option to define which one I want the end-use to see when the preview comes up and not be forced to click the non pages tab
