Hello,
I follow the instructions as in “Page layout\Report sections\Table of contents and index” by the letter.
I can enter a filename for the file, and click on create, but no file is created.
This is for the TOC as for the IDX.
As a filname i choose: ProjectPath$() + “JaarRekening.toc”
Some items in the project have values in “index level” and “Table of contents level”
I have LL18 Sp3 installed.
I also tryed this in LL16 and LL17, but no results.
What am i missing?

Is it possible to send an step by step description what you exactly do (may be with screenshots)?
Because on my site it is working well, the steps are:
-Go to report sections
-choose Table of contents
-on right site (FileName) write an filename
-click on the “…” button
Next Dialog (title “Project”)
-mark “create a new project”
-click “ok”
-if you want to use template click “yes”

Hello Erdal,
It took some time before i knew how to put inmages here…

change the filename to “Jaarrekening.toc”
When click on OK, there is NO question like "Do you want to use the default template "
Then I return to the initial screen

can repeat this action as many times I like, but never a TOC or IDX file is created.
Am i missing something?

I can not reproduce the behavior. For me, the query is as desired and then opens the designer.
Can you reproduce the behavior with our sample application (lldemo32.exe)?
If so, I would please you to install the latest service pack and test the behavior whether is still reproduceable.
If the problem still occurs after that, I would please you to open a regular support case that enables us to get more informations (logfile, sample etc.) from you.

Hello Erdal,
The sample lldemo32.exe application works ok.
I have installed servicepack 3.
However, I tried the Alaska Xbase++ samples as provided in the programable Samples and declarations.
To my supprise i am also UNABLE to create a TOC with the sample programs.
I got the impression i need some extra settings or files before i can create a TOC layout.
Or is this a Xbase++ issue?
